Getting Busier!
Hello friends! Things are well underway with deputation, and we have had a busy couple of months. We have asked you to pray for meetings, and God has been gracious in answering those prayers. God has also given us opportunities to minister and share the gospel right here in North Carolina.
In the month of June, we were able to take a trip to Iowa and present in three churches there. We want to send a special thank you to those at Carlisle Baptist Church in Carlisle, Hillcrest Baptist Church in Algona, and Calvary Baptist Church in Forrest City. We had a really special trip that was so encouraging for our whole family. Thank you!
In July we attended the BMM family conference in Cleveland, OH. We were uplifted and challenged, and our three kids had a blast! We sang a song every night at family conference called “We Face a Task Unfinished” which fit in perfectly with the theme of the conference - taking up the mantle from those who have gone before us to continue the task that is not yet finished.
Facing a task unfinished

In July, we also had the privilege to present at Manna Baptist Church in Winston Salem, NC. We would like to thank Pastor Phil and the church family for making us feel so welcome and loved.
Over the past couple of months Tim has been working part time at our sending church as the “Director of Ministry Development,” where he is able to focus on outreach and evangelism. This has been great experience for future ministry on the mission field. More importantly, though, people have been hearing the gospel right here in Winston Salem who may have never heard it before. Every Friday we have the opportunity to set up tents and tables and do a sort of “back yard Bible club” at one of the local apartment complexes right next to the church. We provide lunch for the kids, do a craft, play games, and present a bible story. Each week the kids hear a clear presentation of the gospel! Last week we had 19 kids, and several have shown interest in coming to Sunday School on Sunday morning. Pray that God will provide opportunities to connect with these families and that the seeds we are planting will take root.
Looking ahead, we are excited that our calendar is starting to fill up. We have 4 meetings and 2 missions conferences booked over the next three months, with hope that more will come soon. We are also looking forward to a survey trip the the UK in December. God has provided for us to be there for over 3 weeks, traveling to different cities and hopefully coming away with a more clear picture of which area of the UK God is leading us to. We are also looking forward to spending Christmas with Tim’s family!
I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
2 Timothy 4:1–2
Pray that God will give us the attitude that Paul exhorts Timothy to have in 2 Timothy 4. That we would preach the word - in season or out of season. On the field or off the field. In the church building or out in our community. We are thankful for the opportunities God has provided already, and we ask that you pray that we will have the wisdom to recognize more.
