Here am I

Earlier this month, Tim had the opportunity to speak at a missions conference at Nottingham Baptist church in Ohio. The theme of the conference was “Here am I, send me.” This has become more than just a theme for the weekend, but a theme for the last couple of months. This theme has come up over and over, as Tim has spoken at camp, at youth group, and in churches regarding recognizing God’s call on your life. It is always exciting to think about how God may be working in the lives of people, calling them to a life of service to Him.

The month of August ended with a very fast trip from Iowa to North Carolina. We were only there a couple of days for a celebration of our Pastor’s ministry as he retired. It was encouraging to see and hear his attitude towards retirement - This was not retirement from ministry, just a change of setting. God has called all of us to serve and follow Him, no matter our age, setting, or vocation.

After our quick trip to North Carolina, we spent the next few weeks in Iowa. We were able to visit two of our supporting churches and were encouraged by our time with them. On September 25th, we made another quick trip from Iowa to West Virginia to present at Spring Hill Baptist Church in South Charleston. The following weekend, we were able to be a part of the missions conference at Nottingham Baptist Church in Wickliffe, OH. From there we traveled to Zephyrhills, Florida, to present at Faith Baptist Church before returning home to Iowa.

The boys have enjoyed playing soccer for a local club over the past couple of months. Between soccer and school, the boys have made many new friends this summer and fall. We are so thankful for these opportunities that are not always common while on deputation.

We would appreciate prayers for us as we continue to book more meetings for the winter and spring. We have quite a few openings in December, January, and February. Everything for the kids’ citizenship application has been mailed to the UK government, so we are just waiting to hear from them regarding the next steps in that process.

Since our last update, we have seen an increase in our monthly support, which brings our percentage to 81%! Praise God! Please keep praying that our support will continue to grow and we will reach 100% by the Spring of 2023.
